A case of diaphragmatic hernia incarceration after a heart transplant operation
Abstract We report a case of a diaphragmatic hernia after a heart transplant operation. A 43‐year‐old woman, who underwent orthotropic heart transplantation for hypertrophic cadiomyopathy two year earlier, presented with vomiting and epigastric pain. A computed tomography scan showed that the stomach and transverse colon were dislocated in the left thoracic cavity. We diagnosed left diaphragmatic hernia incarceration and performed laparoscopic repair of the diaphragmatic hernia. A 12 × 8 cm diaphragmatic...

Downregulation of lncRNA-HEIH curbs esophageal squamous cell carcinoma progression by modulating miR-4458/PBX3.
Downregulation of lncRNA-HEIH curbs esophageal squamous cell carcinoma progression by modulating miR-4458/PBX3. Thorac Cancer. 2020 May 25;: Authors: Wang D, You D, Pan Y, Liu P Abstract BACKGROUND: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been found to play a specific part in the development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), except for lncRNA HEIH. Here, we aimed to discover the molecular mechanisms of HEIH in ESCC. METHODS: We detected...

Clin J Gastroenterol. 2020 May 24;: Authors: Iwabu J, Namikawa T, Yokota K, Kitagawa H, Kihara K, Hirose N, Hanazaki K Abstract Aortoesophageal fistula (AEF) is a highly life-threatening condition, even when treated promptly. However, little is known about the treatment for AEF in patients with advanced esophageal cancer. We report...
