Charge resonance (CR) is a fundamental intermolecular force in π‐stacked structures of arenes. In the Communication by O. Dopfer and co‐workers (DOI: 10.1002/anie.201811432), the properties of the CR were probed by IR spectroscopy and DFT calculations of prototypical pyrrole cluster cations. The N–H stretch frequency of pyrrole is sensitive to its partial positive charge. This generally applicable approach provides a precise experimental probe of the asymmetry in the charge distribution of heterodimers or solvated homodimers.
