Sub‐nanoscale metal particles play critical roles in catalysis for aerobic toluene oxidation. In their Communication (DOI: 10.1002/anie.201809530), K. Yamamoto and co‐workers created multiple types of sub‐nanoscale catalytic particles composed of noble metals by using dendrimers, which are tree‐like spherical macromolecules that can be used as a template with finely tuned sizes. The Pt19 catalyst showed the superior performance, which is 1700 times greater than that obtained by commercial Pt/C catalyst for toluene oxidation.
