Abstract: Kaposi sarcoma (KS) caused by human herpes virus type-8 is the most frequent immunosuppression-associated malignancy worldwide and its treatment is still controversial. We report on the clinical management of a patient who developed oral KS after liver transplantation. The disease appeared 1 month after the transplant and recurred after 4 months. The patient represents, to our knowledge, a rare case that was treated successfully only by shifting a conventional immunosuppressive therapy to everolimus alone.
