Abstract
BACKGROUND: Metastasis from melanoma carries poor prognosis and survival. Average life expectancy is estimated four to six months following diagnosis of skeletal metastasis. Comprehensive treatment, along with newer immunotherapies, has shown promising results.
CASE DESCRIPTION: We report a case of long-term survival following metastasis to the brain and spine and discuss associated factors.
CONCLUSION: Our report emphasizes the importance of regular and critical surveillance of the disease and aggressive surgical and medical management in melanoma.
