The results of the recent IARC Monographs evaluation of the carcinogenicity of benzene have now been published in The Lancet Oncology.This summary article presents the conclusions of the IARC Monographs Meeting 120, which reviewed all relevant published scientific literature currently available. This new evaluation updates the previous evaluation of benzene by the IARC Monographs in 2009.
The full scientific assessment will be published as Volume 120 of the IARC Monographs.
