Acoustic radiation force imaging (ARFI): A new powerful tool of ultrasound

Ultrasound (sonography) is a powerful tool in the routine clinical practice. Obstetricians and gynecologists need it to evaluate and detect various kinds of obstetrics- and gynecology-related diseases, partly because of its convinces, and partly because of its non-invasive way of characterizing changes in structure, function and mechanical properties in vivo.1 With an increasing advanced technology of ultrasound, sonography with grayscale and color Doppler image is still the recommended first-line modality for diagnosing various kinds of obstetrics- and gynecology-related abnormality.
