Report of Sinonasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma (SNUC) in a Pediatric Patient: Clinical and Molecular Zebras

Sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC) is an exceedingly rare, highly aggressive malignancy of uncertain histogenesis and molecular expression, arising in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. SNUC was first described in 1986 by Frierson et al. and has since been reported as a neoplasm predominantly affecting patients of middle age, with the median age of onset of 50-54 years old1. Most patients have been found to present with locally advanced disease, often involving multiple confluent anatomic sites, in addition to orbital, as well as intracranial, invasion.
