IRE1α-XBP1s pathway promotes prostate cancer by activating c-MYC signaling
IRE1α-XBP1s pathway promotes prostate cancer by activating c-MYC signaling, Published online: 24 January 2019; doi:10.1038/s41467-018-08152-3
ER stress and UPR are implicated in various cancers. Here, the authors show that one of the canonical UPR pathways, IRE1α-XBP1 regulates c-MYC signaling to promote prostate tumorigenesis, and pharmacological inhibition of IRE1α with MKC8866 inhibits prostate cancer growth and synergizes with clinically used prostate cancer drugs.from A via a.sfakia on Inoreader https://go.nature.com/2B10j7f
