Abstract

We would like to thank Eadie et al.¹ for their interest in our study recently published in the BJD.² Eadie et al.¹ suggested that the discrepancies between the ultraviolet (UV)A1 minimal erythema doses (MEDs) observed in our recent study² and the doses previously reported by Beattie et al.³ were mainly due to differences in irradiance, anatomical site and timing of MED readings.
