Response to Comment on response to “Circular RNA profile identifies circPVT1 as a proliferative factor and prognostic marker in gastric cancer,” Cancer Lett. 2017 Mar 1; 388(2017): 208-219

We are very grateful for the comments by Zhang et al. [1] on our response to the commentary regarding our article [2-4]. Two issues raised by Zhang et al. are about our analyses of the TCGA clinical data and primer sequences of circPVT1. Firstly, we analyzed the TNM stage and tumor size of TCGA clinical data but not circPVT1 expression in TCGA samples. The commentary by Sun et al. [5] argued that our selected GC cases might be atypical because the AUC of circPVT1 expression, TNM stage, tumor size or their combination were all below 0.7.
