The correct estimate of the 2013–2014 seasonal influenza vaccine effectiveness (VE) is 55.3% (95% confidence interval, 8.6%–90.4%) and the VE for medically attended influenza is 63.9% (95% confidence interval, .2%–86.9%). In addition, 45.7% of participants were vaccinated for influenza in the 2013–2014 season (48.8% adults, 44.6% children), and 83.3% received an inactivated vaccine dose.
