[World Report] Frontline: caring for soldiers after the peace deal in Colombia

Over the course of Colombia's 52-year war, over 220 000 people were killed and nearly 7 million displaced by the violence between the leftist guerrillas and the state. Bogotá's Central Military Hospital bore the brunt of that war, treating thousands of injured soldiers. The hospital became a byword for the horrific effects of conflict, its waiting rooms packed with gunshot and landmine victims (Colombia is the world's second-most landmine-scarred country, after Afghanistan).That conflict is now winding down following a peace deal brokered 1 year ago.
