Progesterone Status Does Not Predict Development of Alveolar Osteitis

The purpose of this study is to assess if progesterone, independent of its role in oral contraceptive pills (OCP), is a risk factor in the development of alveolar osteitis (AO) following third molar (M3) extraction. The secondary aim is to confirm that OCP use increases risk of AO following M3 extraction.
