Non-Union Rates in Fibula Free-Flap Reconstruction of Head and Neck Oncologic Defects

The microvascular free tissue transfer of the fibula is a well-established and predictable method of providing reconstruction for mandibular and maxillary defects that arise from the resection of benign and malignant disease or traumatic injury. The purpose of this study is to evaluate our experience with the fibula free flap in 20 cases and describe the rate of non-union after reconstruction.
